Forbearance.
The man who retaliates finds immediate pleasure. The man who forbears finds lasting pleasure.
A holy man seated on the brink of the Ganges at Hrishikesh noticed a scorpion floating down. He held out his hand and saved it. The creature stung him. A violent jerk made by him threw it into the river. He saved it for the second time. It stung him again. This time he threw it on land. This is forbearance.
Forbearance is characteristic of a saint. He does not return evil for evil.

Tolerancia.
El hombre que toma represalias encuentra placer inmediato. El hombre que se abstiene encuentra placer duradero.
Un hombre santo sentado al borde del Ganges en Hrishikesh notó un escorpión que flotaba hacia abajo. Extendió su mano y lo salvó. La criatura lo picó. Un tirón violento que hizo lo arrojó al río. Lo salvó por segunda vez. Lo picó de nuevo. Esta vez lo arrojó a la tierra. Esto es tolerancia.
La tolerancia es característica de un santo. No devuelve mal por mal.
