SELF-MASTERY AND SELF-SURRENDER.
Lord, may I gain mastery over my elements, good and bad. After perfecting myself may I surrender my individuality to you.
The commoner is the creature of the impulses of his mind. The yogi subdues the mind. In common with animal the common man craves for sense-pleasure. The yogi conquers that base urge. He then beholds the grandeur of the Almighty and makes himself over to Him.
As the atmosphere merges itself in space, when shall I be able to merge myself in the blissful Beyond?

Maîtrise de soi et abandon de soi.
Seigneur, puis-je acquérir la maîtrise de mes éléments, bons et mauvais. Après m'être perfectionné, puis-je vous abandonner mon individualité.
Le roturier est la créature des impulsions de son esprit. Le yogi soumet l'esprit. Comme l’animal, l’homme ordinaire a soif de plaisir sensoriel. Le yogi vainc cette envie basse. Il contemple alors la grandeur du Tout-Puissant et s'abandonne à Lui.
Alors que l’atmosphère se fond dans l’espace, quand pourrai-je me fondre dans l’au-delà bienheureux ?
