2作目を続行するつもりで読みだしましたが、1作目同様に、かなりファンタジーで、読む気力を失いました。
それと、紙で読むのは辞書ひきが大変。

Si l'on nous donnait une nouvelle chance, qu'en ferions-nous?
Après avoir quitté une Terre mourante du fait des erreurs de nos sociétés, l'Arche, premier vaisseau à coloniser une exoplanète, arrive au bout d'un long voyage de 80 ans. Les colons sortent de leurs caissons cryogéniques et découvrent ce qui doit devenir un nouveau commencement pour l'humanité. Une nouvelle planète, un monde principalement végétal baptisé Eden.
Les surprises se cumulent vite : la surface abrite une espèce primitive mais intelligente, des ruines prouvent l'existence de civilisations passées avancées, le système climatique obéit à des règles très particulières. Mais malgré tout cela, la colonisation commence de manière somme toute très classique, avec les traditionnelles oppositions entre militaires, scientifiques, civils.
Mais tout change avec l'arrivée d'un nouveau joueur : un second vaisseau spatial arrive, quelques mois seulement après l'Arche. A son bord, des Terriens partis 60 ans plus tard, bénéficiant d'une technologie plus avancée, et eux même fortement modifiés génétiquement. Capables de se synchroniser et de communiquer télépathiquement entre eux, ils sont devenus une espèce fondamentalement collectiviste, que tout oppose aux traditionnels Terriens individualistes de l'Arche.
Les deux peuples essaient dans un premier temps de cohabiter et d'apprendre les uns des autres, mais les obstacles rencontrés, le passé de la planète qui s'avère beaucoup plus riche et mystérieux que prévu, vont rapidement augmenter les tensions. Eden représente-t-il un nouvel espoir, ou au contraire la fin d'une civilisation?
"Outsphere" est une saga de science-fiction, qui tout en développant un univers particulièrement fouillé, s'amuse à explorer des questions philosophiques liées d'un côté au transhumanisme, de l'autre aux oppositions entre pensées collectivistes et individualistes.

If we were given another chance, what would we do with it?
After leaving a dying Earth due to the errors of our societies, the Ark, the first ship to colonize an exoplanet, arrives at the end of a long journey of 80 years. The colonists emerge from their cryogenic chambers and discover what will become a new beginning for humanity. A new planet, a mainly plant world called Eden.
The surprises pile up quickly: the surface is home to a primitive but intelligent species, ruins prove the existence of advanced past civilizations, the climate system obeys very particular rules. But despite all this, colonization begins in a very classic way, with the traditional oppositions between military, scientists and civilians.
But everything changes with the arrival of a new player: a second spaceship arrives, just a few months after the Ark. On board, Earthlings who left 60 years later, benefiting from more advanced technology, and themselves heavily genetically modified. Able to synchronize and communicate telepathically with each other, they have become a fundamentally collectivist species, completely opposed to the traditional individualist Earthlings of the Ark.
The two peoples initially try to coexist and learn from each other, but the obstacles encountered, the past of the planet which turns out to be much richer and more mysterious than expected, will quickly increase tensions. Does Eden represent a new hope, or on the contrary the end of a civilization?
“Outsphere” is a science fiction saga, which while developing a particularly in-depth universe, enjoys exploring philosophical questions linked on the one hand to transhumanism, and on the other to the oppositions between collectivist and individualist thoughts.
