COMPETITION
Selfishness is characteristic of life at the low level. Each creature wants to thrive at the cost of the others. Cruel competition is the result.
Survival of the fittest is the order down below. Might is right, is in vogue. The weak ones are either eliminated or exploited. Misery is therefore on the increase. Nobody thinks of any remedial measure. Each wants to safeguard his own interest.
Unhealthy and selfish competition mars social life. Healthy and selfless competition promotes social welfare.
