THE DELIBERATE DEPARTURE
All beings are overtaken by death sooner or later. But the yogi alone does not die. He prepares himself and deliberately quits the body.
Death is meaningless to the yogi. He holds the body alien to him all along. He dwells in it as the others dwell in houses. Detached from the body and established in the Self he is. When karma is worked out the body falls.
All the gates of the body closed, the mind confined within the heart, having fixed his life-energy in the head, uttering ‘Om’ he departs leaving the body, attains the Supreme Goal.

LE DÉPART DÉLIBÉRÉ.
Tous les êtres sont rattrapés par la mort tôt ou tard. Mais le yogi seul ne meurt pas. Il se prépare et quitte délibérément le corps.
La mort n'a pas de sens pour le yogi. Il tient le corps étranger à lui tout du long. Il l'habite comme les autres habitent les maisons. Détaché du corps et établi dans le Soi, il est. Lorsque le karma est épuisé, le corps tombe.
Toutes les portes du corps fermées, l'esprit confiné dans le cœur, ayant fixé son énergie vitale dans la tête, prononçant "Om", il quitte le corps, atteint le But Suprême.
